The Walk of Courage Jean Pagé
In order to increase prostate cancer awareness, PROCURE organizes several signature events throughout the year. Every day in Quebec, 12 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer. Founded in 2007 by Jean Pagé, Robin Burns, and Father John Walsh, the Walk of Courage Jean Pagé brings together men who are diagnosed and their families in a festive atmosphere to celebrate the miracle of life and to spread the message about prostate cancer among Quebecers.
For the past 12 years, the Walk of Courage Jean Pagé celebrates men and life. This festive walk, followed by a friendly picnic, is the ideal gathering place to celebrate. On June 16th, 2019, you’re all invited to walk 1km, 3km or 5 km at Parc du Mont-Royal (Lac-aux-castors) and celebrate the men in your life along with our honorary president, sports and television celebrities will be present for the event and more than 500 walkers. Dogs are welcomed.
Each year, hundreds of men and their families join members from the Impact and the Alouettes families, former Canadiens players and honorary president, for this major awareness-raising day. Free for children under 12 years old, each registration includes a t-shirt, a healthy lunch box and an official tax receipt.
In 2018, come and walk for the cause
The 13th edition of the Walk of Courage Jean Pagé will take place on June 16, 2019 on Father’s Day. You will have the option of choosing your own personal challenge, which is to walk 1km, 3km or 5km at the Parc du Mont-Royal (Beaver Lake) in support of the fight against prostate cancer.
The funds raised during this event, added to those collected during the Tour du Courage PROCURE,
support, among other things, PROCURE’s offerings – information, education, support and referrals to the most appropriate resources – for Quebecers affected by prostate cancer, their caregivers and their loved one, throughout their journey, including:
